first day
  • Dear Fourth Grade Families,

My name is Mrs. Jayne, and I would like to welcome you to 4th Grade!   I hope you have had a great summer and are ready to get back to school and learn. There are a lot of fun activities and lessons planned that will challenge you both academically and socially.  We are going to have a fantastic year together!

Let me share a few things about myself and my family.   One thing that you must know about me is that I love to read, so this summer I have been busy reading at my favorite place, the beach!! I also learned how to play pickleball this summer, so that has been fun. My husband’s name is Nathan, and he is the director of guidance at Ward Melville High School.  My daughter is Olivia (20), who will be a junior in college and studying abroad this semester in Galway, Ireland, and my son is Ryan (18), is going to be a freshman at Endicott College, and our dog Phoebe. As a family, we  have been going to the beach, and visiting with friends and family.  I look forward to hearing more about you, your family and your summer vacation when we return to school in September.

Being that the start of school is around the corner, it is never too late to practice those math facts or to pick up a book you have been wanting to read.  In order to see the 4th Grade Supply List, go to the Quogue School website, under Classrooms, you can then click Grade 4 and there you will see a tab to find the   Supply List.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at cjayne@quogueschool.com  Enjoy the remainder of your summer vacation.  See you on the first day of school, Tuesday, September 5th.  I  look forward to seeing you!

    All the best,

    Mrs. Jayne
