• One-to-one Laptop Initiative

The Quogue School District has continued the implementation of a one-to-one laptop program for students in grades 3 - 6. Each student is assigned a Quogue UFSD supplied MacBookAir. The MacBook Air is available to take home if needed in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6. Each student is responsible for bringing a fully charged device to school each day. AppleCare+ has been purchased for each laptop, it is Apple's exclusive warranty program. Each student is required to turn in their laptop during the last week of school for the summer vacation.

    Grades 3 - 6
Students use MacBook Air laptops in their classes. With a one-to-one laptop initiative, assignments can be differentiated or even individualized to benefit the individual needs of the student. Examples of adaptive learning offerings where lessons may get harder or easier based on previous student responses are IXL, SumDog, and lessons the classroom teacher may assign.

    Home Use
It is the responsibility of the parents/guardians to provide appropriate oversight for the use of the laptop at home. The *MacBook Air 11.6 inch laptop with OS 10.13 High Sierra is to be used exclusively for school-related purposes and comes with an Apple 45W MagSafe 2 Power Adapter, and Gum Drop SoftShell 11 case.
