    A GREAT teacher Inspires!

Hi, my name is Stacey Russell and this will be my 17th year teaching at the Quogue School. I am so lucky to be doing something I absolutely love. I look forward to a successful and enriching year as we work together in Kindergarten.

I’d like to tell you a little about myself.  I hold a Masters degree in Elementary Education; I am also certified to teach in the field of Special Education and Reading.  Before teaching Pre-Kindergarten I was the Resource Room /Special Education teacher for grades Pre-K - grade 2 for 12 years.  I am lucky to have 12 years of Special Education experience which I incorporate in my daily teaching.

I have lived in Southampton my entire life, I couldn’t imagine life not near the beach. I have a little girl named Faith who is simply the love of my life. I am having an absolute blast with her. I am an avid reader and love to share great books with my students. I enjoy going to the beach and spending time with my family.

I am committed to providing children with learning experiences that foster their cognitive, social and emotional development. I absolutely love teaching and have a fun filled year planned. I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you.

    Mission for the class

Teaching Kindergarten is both a responsibility and a privilege.

My goal for Kindergarten is to provide students with a safe and secure learning environment where they feel comfortable to discover, explore, experiment and achieve their best. It is my mission that Kindergarten children will become independent, self-confident, curious learners who can work well with others. This will be accomplished by creating purposeful and productive play experiences that help children grow in all areas.

We all need someone who inspires us to do better than we know how!
