About the Teacher

    Señora Meyer
This is my seventh year at the Quogue School, teaching both Spanish and ENL. Before coming to Quogue, I taught middle school and high school Spanish for three years in Nassau County. I received my B.A. in Spanish and secondary education from St. Joseph’s College and my Spanish FLES extension from Dowling College. I completed my M.S. at St. John’s University in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).

Ultimately, I believe it is important for my students to learn how to communicate in Spanish. Students will be exposed to various Spanish speaking cultures and customs and will develop a better understanding and acceptance of the diverse world we live in. My professional goal is to combine my love for language with my passion for teaching; I aim to motivate and instill a love of learning, language, and culture in each of my students.
